AZ Alkmaar vs Tottenham Hotspur scores, results, time, tips, odds, weather, how to watch
AZ Alkmaar should be a familiar club to close followers of the Australian game. Socceroos captain Maty Ryan played there only last season and was their main goalkeeper for two seasons, helping them secure a fourth-placed finish in the Eredivisie and earning qualification for this Europa League campaign.
That was, of course, before he split for AS Roma in Italy, an ill-fated move which briefly cost him the Australian No.1 jersey, a situation he has since repaired with his January switch to RC Lens in France.

But he’s not the only Aussie to have played there. Brett Holman was also signed by former AZ Alkmaar boss Louis van Gaal in 2008, won the league title in his first season and played more than 90 top-flight games there.
James Holland, another Socceroos midfielder from last decade, also spent three years on their books after being recruited from the A-League’s Newcastle Jets, but never played a game for them and was eventually shipped off to Austria.
As for today? Here’s their starting line-up.
