Chris Padilla patiently weathered the initial attacks of Ismael Bonfim, waiting for the Brazilian to fatigue before he upped is output and secured the second-round finish.

Bonfim, who missed weight on Friday by a considerable amount, came out pressing the action, throwing and landing more in the opening round, though nothing of serious consequence found a home. In the second, Padilla began to turn up his offense as the Bonfim faded, eventually hurting him with elbows along the fence before left hands wrapped things up.
