Tradies uncover human remains in Echuca

Tradespeople have discovered human remains while working on a major project in regional Victoria, where police are now on the scene.
Officers said the workmen unearthed the bones on Friday while undertaking $13 million redevelopment works on Victoria Park, Echuca.
“The bones have since by assessed and determined they are human remains,” police said in a statement.
“A crime scene has been established, and the Echuca crime investigation unit are making enquiries into the matter.
“The bones will undergo forensic testing and, at this stage, the circumstances surrounding the death of the person are yet to be determined. This includes whether the matter is suspicious.”
