AFL round four 2026, scores, results, odds, stats and start time from the Gabba in Brisbane, Nick Daicos out

Players should not be getting free kicks for ducking their head in front of goal, Kai Lohmann’s second goal was a perfect example.

Almost as soon as he collected the ball he dropped his head, inviting a high tackle from Collingwood defender Isaac Quaynor.

It was the type of deft movement that made Jack Ginnivan public enemy No.1 during his time at Collingwood.

Sure enough, the umpire fell for it, blowing the whistle for an illegal tackle. Lohmann was able to nail an easy goal.

There’s still a long way to go in this game, as Brisbane takes an early ascendancy, but let’s hope it is not decided at the finish by a kick, because Lohmann definitely got away with one.

Lions 31, Pies 18 with six mins to go in Q1.
