Carmelo Anthony heading to Australia for basketball tour with camps and evenings
Basketball superstar Carmelo Anthony is set to take Australia by storm.
The 10-time NBA All Star is heading Down Under in September to host elite basketball camps and exclusive evening experiences.
Anthony, 40, is one of the most iconic players to ever play in the NBA, finishing his NBA career after 19 seasons which saw him earn 10 All-Star selections, six all-NBA selections and three Olympic gold medals.
The number three pick in the 2003 NBA Draft, Anthony retired in 2023 as the then ninth highest point score in NBA history, ending his career with 28,289 points.
A notorious threat from anywhere on the hardwood, Anthony will host camps and evenings in Melbourne and Perth.
“As part of his Australian tour, the 10-time NBA All-Star and Olympic gold medallist will host elite basketball camps and exclusive evening experiences designed to inspire and connect with fans of all ages,” a press release read.
“These events offer a rare opportunity to engage with one of basketball’s most influential figures, both on the court and in an intimate setting, providing unparalleled access to Carmelo’s insights, experiences, and expertise.”
Anthony’s first event in Melbourne will take place on Tuesday, September 17 at The Timberyard and will include a Q&A for those in attendance.
He’ll then host the first of his basketball camps on Wednesday, September 18 at Ball 360 in Melbourne.
Anthony will then head west to Perth where he’ll host a basketball camp on Saturday, September 21 at the Malvern Sports and Recreation Centre.
Anthony will then close out his Australian tour when he hosts an exclusive evening on Sunday, September 22 at Metro City.
