Chelsea defeat PSG, score, result, Luis Enrique pushes match report, scores, Cole Palmer double, Neves red card, Luis Enrique push and shove post-match
Chelsea are the FIFA Club World Cup champions and about A$175 million richer after a stunning 3-0 rout of PSG in the final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
English Premier League star Cole Palmer scored a brace with two superb left-footed strikes, and claimed player of the match honours, while new signing Joao Pedro also found the back of the net.

For winning the tournament, Chelsea pockets USD$40 million which, when combined with its reward for simply participating, takes the club’s total windfall to about USD$115m.
PSG entered the final as red hot favourites having won the UEFA Champions League as well as Ligue 1 and the French Cup, plus they only conceded one goal in the tournament before the final.
PSG manager Luis Enrique was clearly angered by the result, and tensions boiled over after the final whistle as he became embroiled in a push and shove on the pitch.

There were clear words exchanged as Enrique physically confronted Chelsea goal-scorer Pedro, and PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma was also involved in the scuffle.
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca eventually stepped in to simmer things before the celebrations truly began.

Chelsea meanwhile, added a second trophy to their cabinet this year after winning the UEFA Conference League title, and the triumph also comes as a massive boost in confidence ahead of the young side’s next domestic league campaign.
“It’s a great feeling. Even better because obviously everyone doubted us before the game,” Palmer said.
“I like finals. It happened again.
“The gaffer put a great gameplan out, he tried to free me up as much as possible, and I just tried to repay him. He’s building something special, something important, a young team. Everyone’s talked s**t about us all season but I feel like we’re going in the right direction.”
The damage was done by Chelsea down their opponent’s left-hand side, a flank often regarded as the Parisian side’s strength, with Palmer scoring the opening goal in the 22nd minute.
Palmer’s finish came off the back of an excellent run into the penalty area from Malo Gusto.
The Frenchman’s shot was initially blocked but the ball came straight back to his feet, and he coolly dished it off to Palmer, who buried the shot in the bottom far corner of the net after an earlier sighter missed by a matter of inches.
Nine minutes later, Palmer then doubled Chelsea’s advantage.
He slipped out the back, catching the PSG defensive line off guard, after being played through by Levi Colwill aerial ball.
It seemingly gave Palmer all the time in the world to cut back onto his left and finish in a similar fashion.
He picked out the same spot in the net, giving PSG goalkeeper Donnarumma no hope of keeping it out.
Pedro, who scored a brace in the semi-final in his first start for his new club since joining from fellow Brighton, then added Chelsea’s third as Palmer turned supplier.
The Brazilian then calmly waited for Donnarumma to charge at him, and chipped the Italian for another superb finish from the Blues.

Despite no more goals being scored in the second half, things went from bad to worse for PSG as Joao Neves was sent off in the 85th minute.
Neves was shown a red card after VAR revealed he had pulled the hair of Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella.
