Vision of the moments before the crash involving Ezra Mam have emerged as police awaits results of a second drug test after the Broncos playmaker allegedly failed an initial roadside test.
Mam was hospitalised following a two-car collision with an Uber driver in Brisbane on Friday night.
The 21-year-old, nor the occupants of the Uber were seriously injured in the crash, but the Broncos five-eighth was taken to hospital for observation.
Mam reportedly tested negative for alcohol.

“Police are investigating following a two-vehicle traffic crash at Bardon tonight, October 18,” police said.
“Initial investigations indicate at approximately 5.20pm, a Ford Ranger utility was travelling north-east along Simpsons Road when it struck a Toyota Camry, travelling in the opposite direction, near the intersection of The Drive.
“Initial roadside drug testing was conducted on the driver of the utility, a 21-year-old Ipswich man; however, police are awaiting results.
“No-one was seriously injured, and investigations are continuing.”
Queensland Police later said in a statement to Australian Associated Press on Saturday night that Mam was allegedly driving unlicensed.
Nine News Queensland also obtained CCTV vision of the moments before the accident, showing Mam’s ute crossing onto the wrong side of the road.
Mam is the third player to fail a roadside test this season following Sharks’ Braydon Trindall and Dogs winger Josh Addo-Carr.
The Broncos also confirmed the incident to The Courier Mail with a statement of their own.
“Broncos player Ezra Mam has been involved in a road accident this afternoon in Brisbane,” it said.
“He has been transported to hospital for treatment but his injuries appear to be minor at this stage.
“The Broncos have informed the NRL Integrity Unit of the matter. No further comment will be made on the issue at this stage.”
Mam, who earlier this year signed a five-year extension with the Broncos, has now been embroiled in two offseason incidents since Brisbane’s unceremonious 12th in 2024.
Three weeks ago, Mam and fullback Reece Walsh were investigated following an alleged incident in Bali.
