Heartbreak as expectant mother Meggen Jade dies in crash in rural Queensland
An expectant mother and her unborn child have been identified as the victims of a tragic single-vehicle accident on a remote road in rural Queensland.
The accident claimed the lives of Meggen Jade, also known as Meg Priest, and her unborn son, Carter Jacob George Shadforth.
The accident occurred on May 28 on an isolated rural property along Lincoln Springs Road in Greenvale, North Queensland.
Meggen, originally from Ingham, had been living at Lincoln Springs Station.
Family and friends have been overwhelmed with grief and are now preparing to bid farewell.
A celebration of life for Meggen and Carter will be held later this month at the Sugar Reef Baptist Church in Ingham. This event will be an opportunity for those who loved them to come together and honour their memory.
“A beautiful girl and little baby who were taken far too soon,” a friend shared on social media. “RIP Meg and Carter.”
