K-Pop and King Charles – global girl band receives royal recognition

Described as the world’s biggest girl band, K-POP’S Blackpink has added another feather to its already crowded head gear. They are now Members of the Order of the British Empire. The MBE honour bestowed on them by King Charles in a private investiture ceremony at Buckingham Palace. It is a recognition of their support for climate change campaigns, but also reflects the group’s global reach.
