Mike Cron added to Wallabies coaching staff, former All Blacks scrum guru
Renowned scrum doctor Mike Cron has joined the Wallabies coaching staff.
Cron will bring a wealth of experience to Australia’s set-up, having been an All Blacks assistant coach for more than 200 Tests.
He has worked across six continents, and with World Rugby as a consultant.
“Mike has added tremendous value in every program he has been involved with and brings a wealth of knowledge to our coaching group,” Wallabies coach Joe Schmidt said.

The Wallabies have also appointed Chris Thomson as team manager.
Thomson moves to his new role from the ACT Brumbies, where he was general manager of professional rugby and pathways.
He has also worked with Fijian Drua and World Rugby, where he was high performance project manager for pathways and player development.
“Knowing Chris from his time at World Rugby, he will work extremely hard behind the scenes to make sure we are well organised from an off-field perspective,” Schmidt said.
The Wallabies’ first Test of the year takes place on July 6 against Wales at Sydney’s Allianz Stadium.
