NRL live updates: Gold Coast Titans vs Parramatta Eels, Brisbane Broncos vs St George Illawarra Dragons

For the first time this season, the Gold Coast Titans have three wins in a row in the NRL.

The Eels made them work for it in the second half.

But an 11-minute burst in the first half in which the Titans scored three tries, leaping into an 18-0 lead, was just too much for the disappointing Eels to overcome.

Alofiana Khan-Pereira scored two of those tries, with Phillip Sami adding the third before Luca Moretti was gifted a score by an errant pass just before the break.

Brian Kelly added to the Titans’ lead shortly after half-time, making Will Penisini and Clint Gutherson’s scores little more than consolation scores.

Jayden Campbell supplied three try assists on his return from injury in an impressive performance.

The Titans now have six wins for the season. Surely they can’t make the top eight, can they?
