Illness has hit the Cronulla Sharks squad, forcing coach Craig Fitzgibbon into mass changes ahead of their clash with the Newcastle Knights.
Meanwhile the Dragons have named a rising star to make his NRL debut this week, while the Knights will also hand a young star for his NRL debut.

Siosifa Talakai shifts from the back row to the centres, with Royce Hunt moved to start in the front row. Braden Hamlin–Uele and Tuku Hau Tapuha are the new faces on the bench. In a big in for Cronulla, Ronaldo Mulitalo has been named to return from injury on the wing, with Samuel Stonestreet dropping out of the 17. However, Round 24 has come too soon for Braydon Trindall, who is unable to recover from his hamstring in time. Blayke Brailey is named at No.7 but will play a hybrid halfback-hooker role on game day.
