Three school students injured in ute crash in Melbourne


Three teenagers have been seriously injured after being hit by a ute in Melbourne.

Emergency crews responded after reports of the school students being hit by a black Mitsubishi Triton ute about 3pm on Friday.

A teenage girl is in a serious but stable condition after being taken to the Royal Children’s Hospital with upper and lower body injuries.

A teenage boy with upper and lower body injuries was taken to The Alfred hospital in an ambulance, in a serious but stable condition.

While another boy is in a stable condition in Box Hill Hospital with minor upper body injuries.

The 44-year-old ute driver stopped after the collision is helping police with inquiries..

A Victoria police spokesman said a passenger inside the ute remained outstanding.
